About This Station

**Brumside Radio** is a non-profit, internet-based community radio station broadcasting from South Birmingham, England, with the motto *“Your voice in the community.”* Its schedule mixes live and recorded shows covering all formats and topics, with a music policy spanning the 1950s to the present alongside specialist programmes in genres such as unsigned, rock, ska, reggae, and dance. The station aims to provide a local voice for South Birmingham and surrounding areas, airing national news alongside local information, all presented by local voices with years of radio experience. It works in conjunction with the parish of Kings Heath and surrounding areas, and—being completely self-funded—relies on on-air advertising and listener donations to cover licensing, rent, utilities, and equipment upkeep.
