About This Station

**Falklands Radio** is the local, national radio service for the Falkland Islands, broadcasting a mix of music, news, weather, flight information and community announcements. Formerly known as the Falkland Islands Broadcasting Service (FIBS) and Falkland Islands Radio Service (FIRS), the station has been serving the islands for many years and has been available online since 2012, reaching listeners worldwide. It transmits on several FM frequencies across the islands (88.2–88.9 FM) as well as 530 MW, and can also be heard via television channel guides. Programming is presented in English, with shows such as *The Morning Show* with Liz Roberts, alongside regular news bulletins and updates on local affairs, including coverage of the Legislative Assembly.
