About This Station

**Hospital Radio Norwich** is a volunteer-run hospital radio station and registered charity (No 270189) serving patients at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital in the UK. Broadcasting 24/7 on bedside radio channel 1 and online, it celebrated over 50 years of service in 2024. The station offers a wide variety of music to suit every taste—spanning oldies, pop, rock, country, classical, folk, show tunes, and instrumental—alongside a popular evening request programme with dedications (except Sundays). It also features local interviews, two-minute national news bulletins from Sky News on the hour, full live commentary of all Norwich City home games, and occasional outside broadcasts of local events. The service is free to patients, and the station relies on donations and grants to continue its work.
