**Memory Lane Radio** is an online radio station, also available on smart speakers and DAB+ in North & South Tyneside, specifically crafted with the older listener in mind. Broadcasting 24/7, it promises to play the songs and artists you simply don’t hear anymore, from Sinatra to Sinitta, spanning the last six decades with one of the country’s largest nostalgic music collections. Beyond music, the station features comedy material, programmes specialising in local and family history, and anecdotal stories from the past. It also caters for people living with dementia, using specially selected music to help listeners recall, interact and re-engage at key times of the day. The team is headed by well-known presenter Paul Wappat, who brings over 25 years of broadcasting experience from the BBC and Smooth Radio.
