About This Station

Radio North Angus is an independent local commercial radio station serving the seven Angus towns in Scotland, with FM transmitters across the area. Although run on a voluntary basis, it operates as a commercial station with a strong community mission, promoting health, education, local organisations and aiming to relieve loneliness through its broadcasts. Its schedule features a mix of music-led programmes—from Teatime Treats and Starlight Serenade to Swing across Midnight—alongside local and national news, community calendars and public-service announcements. The website highlights volunteer opportunities and partnerships with groups like Voluntary Action Angus, reflecting its role as a hyper-local, community-driven outlet. Broadcasting in English, it combines light entertainment with a clear public-service ethos rooted in the Angus region.
